Every page should be accurate, useful, kind and clear about where its information came from.

What we publish

All About the Pets publishes verified real-life pet stories, practical care guides, rescue spotlights, product information and community features. We write for a UK audience but welcome every kind of pet and responsible owner.

How we check sources

We prefer first-hand or authoritative sources: the organisation that reported an event, official public guidance, recognised animal welfare charities and qualified veterinary sources. Important claims are checked against the original material before publication. Source links are included where they help readers verify or act on the information.

We do not invent names, quotations, medical details, rescue outcomes or emotional reactions. If a detail cannot be confirmed, we leave it out or clearly describe the uncertainty.

Pet health and care information

Care content is general information, not a diagnosis or a substitute for veterinary advice. We use current UK guidance where location matters and state when rules apply only to a particular nation. If a pet is ill, injured, distressed or behaving unusually, readers should contact a qualified veterinary professional promptly.

Real-life stories and photographs

We distinguish original reporting from an independently written retelling. When a story began with another organisation, we credit that source and do not imply that All About the Pets took part. We use third-party photographs or video only when appropriate permission or a suitable licence has been confirmed. Representative images are labelled so nobody mistakes them for the animal in the story.

Assisted writing and publishing tools

Digital tools may help with research organisation, topic planning, outlines or early drafts. They are not treated as a source of fact. Source accuracy, wording, safety, permissions and commercial labels are checked as part of the editorial process before a page is deliberately published. Content is not copied from another publisher or placed on the site through an unchecked automatic feed.

Products, affiliate links and sponsorship

Commercial relationships do not remove our responsibility to be useful and honest. Affiliate links and paid placements are labelled close to the relevant recommendation. Payment does not guarantee a positive conclusion. Read our full affiliate disclosure.

Corrections and updates

If a material fact is wrong, we correct it as soon as reasonably possible and update the page date when the change affects the substance of the article. Minor spelling or formatting repairs may be made without a separate note.
